Morton Soccer Places 3rd in State

Morton High School set a new Illinois High School Association (IHSA) record for fan support, and we are happy to announce the team came home with a third-place state trophy while competing in the State Final Tournament last week. More importantly, we represented our school and our community in a positive way.

We saw amazing fan support. The school district coordinated over 50 fan buses to transport fans from its campuses to Hoffman Estates for the state semifinal game against Libertyville on Friday, Nov. 6. Hoffman Estates High School and IHSA publicly praised Morton for its school spirit and talented soccer team.

Our road to state ended with a 2–1 victory for third place against Bartlett High School during the State Final Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 7. This year, the Morton Boys Varsity Soccer team has played the best it has in years with a 27–3 record throughout the season, since winning the state title back in 2011, and we believe it will advance further in the next academic year.
